toMediaSource

Reads video from this path.

The path is passed through as its own string, so it means whatever the platform's filesystem means by it. A browser reads no path at all, and the capabilities table lists which backend takes which arm.

fun ByteString.toMediaSource(hint: FormatHint? = null): MediaSource(source)

Reads these bytes as media.

The array is copied out of the string, so the source owns its own bytes from here.

Parameters

hint

What container the bytes hold, or null to let the backend sniff it.
